walking the talk !

hey frnds !
As promised ..i've just started writing a second review of the novel "The Graduate"...to the uninitiated ,that's a novel written by Charles Webb.aftr the book crossed the bestseller mark,a movie was made bearing the same name.A funny n sardonic piece frm webb !!..the story revolves around a 21 yr old boy ,Benjamin who has just graduated frm collg n has come back home..his father has hosted a party fr Ben to celebrate his homecoming.the real twists n turns start taking place when Ben dares smthing silly, egged on by his neighbour's wife (that's Mrs. Robinson!.an old bt equally attractive woman.).he sadly gets himself trapped in it..she now hangs like an albatross around his neck ..n at the same time falls for her (Robinson's)daughter..although sm mite feel that the frst half of the novel cud hv been done away with..bt that adds the funny element to the story..the second half of the novel narrates hw does Ben pursue Elaine(Robinson's daughter) n aftr much of his "efforts"..she finally gives in..well it's just a mishmash of things now..wait fr sm days until i come out with the second review !a must read fr all !

The Long and Short of it !!

hey ppl..i've jst come up with an idea of having Book-Reading sessions in our instt. For starters..Book -Reading is getting a group to go through a particular book(or fr that matter ..a novel) , the group then collects smday and has a discussion on the book..bringin out the innate and connatural points of the storyline, plot, climax or nything that rings a bell.. it might sound a bit tedious and dreary but once u get into the thing ..it's quite a handful
wat say ?
